It’s created by Victoria Pile, who previously gave us the classic hospital-set Green Wing and the less well-known but equally hilarious University-set Campus. Pile specialises in a kind of sketch show/sitcom hybrid workplace comedy format that she’s pretty much invented herself, and she embraces silliness, stupidity and slapstick. The situations in Piglets are often outlandish, and the characters’ behaviour borderline nonsensical, but everything that happens is in the service of getting laughs.
