this session was very special to me because marissa and her family have been a special part of my life for a long time.  i remember way back in the fall; talking about her session when she was not even showing yet.  now the babies are here!  marissa and joel couldn’t have been more laid back for this session.  on little sleep and with two five day old babes, they were go very “go with the flow”.  baby spit up, clothes changes, a little “wee”…nothing could shake these new parents.  and not much except hunger could keep meyer and remy from stealing the spotlight!  they’re all so lucky to have each other.  i feel blessed that i was one of the first “outsiders” to meet the babies.  they didn’t disappoint!  they are so beautiful!  take a look for yourselves at some of my fav’s:

remy

look at these little beauties!  they look so much alike, mom and dad put different bracelets on their arms to tell them apart.  great idea!  they may look alike, but their personalities were very different.  i can’t wait to watch them grow so i can capture who they are!  take a peek at their newborn cuteness below:

i know i always say i can’t believe how fast babies grow and watching them is such a pleasure.  well, that is especially true for these two.  we met to celebrate their one year birthday with adorable “1″ t’s and a cake smash. you may remember  them from their newborn post. they were actually born months early and had a long road ahead of them.  well, that road is coming to an end as they are hitting all of their milestones!  it has been a true honor and pleasure to work with the whole family!  i can’t wait to see peyton and logan walking and talking soon!

logan didn’t know what to make of the cake while sis, peyton, went to town and got a major sugar high!

so much to celebrate!

wow!  was i honored to be chosen as this family’s baby photographer.  i am always excited and feel so lucky when someone calls me to photograph them/their children/newborn/etc.  but this was a special circumstance that called for a special person…me!  these two adorable babies were born veeeerrrryy early.  they spent months in the nicu but made it home for christmas.  mom and dad waited as long as they could but really wanted to capture the newborn phase of little peyton and logan’s lives.  so, while i always say it’s best to photograph babies when they are five to ten days old, these images prove that when that’s not possible, we can still get amazing images!
