i can’t really move on to 2012 until i wrap up 2011!  the last session i did was with a returning client.  i was so excited to hear from jacquie.  she came to me a few years ago when her daughter, isabella, was having her first communion and we hit it off great.  she’s got a really laid back attitude that just rubs off on those around her.

i met up with them again but this time, jacquie brought along her new husband and baby lena!  i love when people’s lives grow and change in such positive ways.  i can tell they’re all happy to be together.  isabella is a gorgeous 5th grader now who loves her new school and, it seemed, her new baby sister too!  so glad i got to capture these girls being who they are with each other.

lena looks so ladylike on the slide!

what a look!

you can feel the love being squeezed from isabella to lena. sisters are so special!

moving on and working hard to catch up–almost to the last of my sessions for this year!  you may remember this family from past posts. we got so lucky with the weather.  it started raining a bit during the session and then stopped…whew!  one of the most rewarding and exciting parts of my job is when i get to see clients each year or so.  i enjoy watching the kids grow up and the family dynamics change.  such is the case with this family.  little cal was a baby when we started and elle was shy.  now, they’re fun loving kids who enjoy the process.  it’s not just about the image, it’s about the relationship and trust.  thank you lori and jason for trusting me to capture who your family is year after year.

so word on my big shots facebook page is that cal’s got a girlfriend!  lucky girl!

we all hope our kids grow up to be friends like these two are.

i love elle’s enthusiasm.  it’s the little things.

hard to believe little gabe is now a year old! it’s amazing how much babies change in their first year. back at his newborn session, he was just a little ball of love. now he’s bursting with personality but still cute as ever!  we met at the park right before the rain and cold hit cincy. here are some of my favorites that really capture who gabe and his loving parents truly are…

i love how this image just captures the true happiness and joy they get from being a family together.  that’s what it’s all about.

doesn’t take much to make a little guy happy.  just a rid on a duck with dad!

love, sweet love.

i was so excited to meet vanessa and her brood which just got bigger with the addition of  little beatrix.  what a cutie!   vanessa is the sister of alanah, a senior i shot last year.  this family definitely picked the right day for family photos!  looking back now, i feel this was the a great time for fall leaves.  it was  before all the rain we just had, when everything still had color.  and of course it was another great family with another great set of clothing choices!  lots of neutrals mixed in with dad’s blue sweater, kyle’s plaid & catherine’s pop of purple!

love the baby’s outfit…so vintage!

we took these “mom and dad” shots because they’re always nice to have but also because the day they got married was SUPER windy and not much turned out. now their love is captured without a veil hitting someone in the face! lol!
