i met this gorgeous couple years ago when i had my old blog.  we did a session with their dog who has since passed away.  now they’re engaged and have a new dog!  so much going on for them.  i was so excited to shoot them in an urban setting this time around.  they are cool, hip and fit right in.  holly said she “wasn’t feeling it that day” and was concerned about the images.  i’d say she has NOTHING to worry about!  see for yourselves how i captured these two being who they are together…fun, flirty and in love.  i wish you two only the best for your future together.

ok.  so terri called me with the news that she wanted to have an engagement session.  i was excited because while i’m not a wedding photographer, i LOVE engagement sessions.  i just love love!  then terri threw in the fact that her sister is getting married this year too!  they are each having destination weddings with a big party to celebrate when they both get back in town.  so, this session was mostly terri and jason with a bit of beth & mike and some mom & dad sprinkled in.  what fun!  thanks to all of you for letting me capture who you really are!

what a warm, fun-loving family.

what i mean by that is that i don’t shoot weddings so engagement sessions are not the norm around here.  i’d love to shoot more but those darn wedding photogs seem to get ‘em first (lol).  but, i do so love capturing the relationships between people no matter what their situation is.  and so, i shot an engagement session.

laura is the daughter of a family friend who set the session up before laura came to town to make the wedding arrangements. she, matt and i hit it off right away so now i consider them friends too.  matt is her ever so creative, out-of-the-box thinking fiance!  he had lots of ideas for our time together.  he’s an avid art lover who comes from nyc so the city is home to him.  perfect set up for a downtown session.  and now that i’ve gotten to know them, i have to say they are perfect for each other.  they balance each other so well.  i wish you both the best always.  happy wedding planning!
