Archive for October, 2014

this post is long overdue but also SO worth waiting for.  i’ve been working with carolyn and her family for years.  then, i was lucky enough to have her on my class of 2014 model team.  her senior session was among my favorites!  my luck got even better when she won the bigshots BIG session as part of the model program.  this session is the ultimate session i offer and only one lucky model gets it every year.  the goodies start before the session begins.  here’s what carolyn got as the winner:

* $250 worth of clothing & accessories for her to wear at your sessions and KEEP from HER favorite store.

*primp package including hair and makeup application throughout the day with a $100 credit for you to spend at ulta

*mani/pedi gift card to use before her shoot or whenever she wanted

*lunch out the day of her shoot for carolyn and a friend (she didn’t bring anyone and we all enjoyed a delicious lunch at lime)

*multiple location shoots at carolyn’s favorite places to capture this time in her life. These shoots can include but aren’t limited to: favorite restaurants, coffee shop or hang out, your favorite sports venue, your home, etc.

*option to have friends and/or family members come along to all or some of your sessions.

*best of all, AMAZING IMAGES!!!

carolyn and i had a lot of planning to do to make sure her session was 100% all about her.  we talked about themes and styles.  she and natasha (of be good to yourself makeup) arranged their various “looks”.  kaitlin and i prepped by getting everything and anything necessary to make all of carolyn’s photo dreams a reality.  then it was time for the all day session.

carolyn started out with her first look which was retro/glam inspired.

then natasha and carolyn headed out to meet kaitlin and i at our first location for a vintage picnic.

i seriously love this girl!

then, natasha worked her magic with carolyn’s hair and makeup and we were off to a more urban setting to bring out carolyn’s rocker side!

once again, natasha switched up carolyn’s look and we were off to the park for carolyn’s ethereal flower crown set.

and it’s a wrap.  dream girl and dream team.  what an amazing day!

i was so excited to see this family again.  it’s been a while since i last photographed them and while their parents haven’t aged, these girls seem so grown up now!  last time they were shy.  not so much this time!  it’s great when clients come back because we don’t have to start from scratch.  we jumped right in and had a great time.
