i’ve typed and erased so many times now because i don’t know how to put into words how amazing this session was.  ali and i met at a random location she chose.  i had no idea what to expect from her or where we were going.  boy was i in for a treat.  as you can see, ali shined in the beautiful surroundings. then again, i think she’d shine just about anywhere.  breathtaking.

I love Big Shots Photography and working with Marla because:  It’s really laid back, she’s easy to talk to and fun to get to know, and her photos are awesome!!

i’ve known andrea her whole life.  she was the younger sister of my younger cousin’s friend…catch all that?   it’s so nice when things come around.  now we live in the same neighborhood and have shared a few sessions together.  i’m glad i’ve gotten to know her and meet her sweet husband vlad now that we’re all adults (still don’t feel like one, but age would suggest it’s true!).  at last year’s shoot, andrea was pregnant with little isaac.  now he’s an adorable little baby who joined big bro sammy, mom and dad for a beautiful fall session.  they were a blast to work with AND i got my cardio in chasing after those two very active boys so it was a double win for me!  LOL.

brother love.  how lucky to have each other.  i’ve seen so many brothers (like my husband and his younger brother) go on to become best friends.

i love how everything is so new to little ones.  crunching leaves was so fascinating!

this is my seventh year photographing this adorable little boy!  he was three months old when i first met him.  how we’ve both changed and grown!  i was telling josh, my husband, how it’s like i just saw them yesterday and it’s been a year!  i am so lucky to have so many wonderful returning clients who i’ve become close to.  i love, love, love working with this family.  i had to work hard for the giggles and grins (talking in a weird voice/language) but it was worth it.

we’ve been going to the same park each year and keep finding new, interesting “backdrops”.  what a cool mosaic.

i think this image says, “and THIS is why we waited until fall to have our session”.  can you believe the color of those leaves?

so…i was really excited to meet mimi.  i had a session with some of mimi’s friends and they were all saying “mimi’s so great”, “you’re going to love her”, etc.  well, she didn’t disappoint.  mimi’s session was wonderful.  we started out in town and then ventured to a little known arboretum for the rest of the time.  the atmosphere was relaxed.  we wandered around finding cool spots to shoot.  she’s ultra fit (as we can see in her over-the-head-leg pose!) and ultra laid back.  we were the only people in the park!  sometimes i wish i didn’t have to be places after shoots so i could soak in more of the location.  when i go back to the arboretum (which i plan to do), i will think fondly of mimi as she conquers the world after high school.  good luck, mimi.  enjoy your travels and beyond.
